2017 Celebration of Excellence
Mountain Home Education Foundation partnered with the Mountain Home Public Schools to create an end-of-the-year picnic for all teachers and staff in the MHPS District. MHEF Teacher Grants were awarded, the Teacher of the Year was recognized, and all teachers retiring from the MHPS District were recognized and honored.
2016 Celebration of Excellence

Teachers, administrators, community volunteers, and community donors all came together on May 19, 2017, to celebrate the creative ideas represented by the teaching grant applications submitted to the MHEF. Over 100 people watched as $35,150.00 were awarded to teachers from all over the district through MHEF teaching grant awards. Teachers will use the teaching grants to pilot innovative teaching projects in their classrooms. If the projects prove to be successful in their teaching goals, the MHPS district is given the opportunity to incorporate the ideas into the school curriculum and budget. Two new scholarships were also awarded at the event: The Dunbar Leadership Scholarship was given to Jack Baran and the Walden Scholarship for Mental Health Professions was awarded to Lauren Wilber. The event was held on the front lawn of Guy Berry School. Tables were covered with quilts and decorated with wild flowers to set a festive atmosphere for the bar-b-que dinner.
