Scholarship Program

The Mountain Home Education Foundation is pleased to offer the following scholarships: Dr. James Dunbar Scholarship, Bertha and Kirby Smith Scholarship (for those going in to Education), Mock Strickland Scholarship (for those going in to broadcasting and communications), Mildred Griffith Scholarship, Keith Hamm Scholarship (awarded to students following a degree in music), Amanda Wallace Scholarship, Lucille Carlson Scholarship, Mike Huett Scholarship, Nell Powell Wright Scholarship, Louis and Margie Knight Scholarship, Baxter County Bar Association, Suddenlink Communications Scholarship, Completer Scholarships and Mr. and Miss MHHS Scholarships. While the Completer Scholarships are earned by course studies at Mountain Home High School and Mr. and Miss MHHS scholarships are awarded to students who place in the high school sponsored contest, the requirements for the remaining scholarships are as follows: 1) the applicant must be a MHHS graduate; 2) the applicant must have at least a 2.5 Grade Point Average.
Project Promise
Project Promise is a scholarship program to help fund the tuition gap for all students graduating from Mountain Home High School attending two years at ASUMH. In effort to increase local workforce, the MHEF removes all barriers for post-secondary education.

To apply for the Mountain Home Education Foundation Scholarship, please fill out the application form. Application forms are due April 1. Forms are accepted digitally, in the high school counselors’ office or at the MHEF Office, 2465 Rodeo Drive, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Awards Ceremony in the Spring at Dunbar Auditorium.
For scholarships funds MHEF will need last semester transcript and proof of next semester enrollment to complete the process.
